About Fit Together

Welcome to Fit Together. This is a podcast where my wife, Rachel, and myself will share our successes and failures of our fitness journey, as well as what led to them.

We're not fitness experts. We're not certified in anything, but have been called certifiable. We're not health professionals. We are not nutritionists or dietitians. We have no e-books. We're not selling anything.

We've got jobs, kids, hobbies, stresses, bills, bad eating habits, injuries, illnesses, etc, etc. What we are is just regular people who let ourselves go and are now trying to get it back. We decided that we wanted this to be a part of that. Rachel thinks of it as kind of an exercise in accountability. Every week we will have to publish, and answer to, whatever may have happened in the past week. Even if it's really ugly.

Which brings us to this podcast, Fit Together. New, weekly episodes will be posted here (and hopefully iTunes) along with show notes. What we hope is to bring the regular Joe's perspective to all the clutter out there,  to share the journey of a couple trying to get fit while living a normal life and, dealing with everyday problems, and sifting through the barrage of conflicting information. We won't have any answers other than what we've experiences, but we will share information and let you decide for yourself what you think.

Why a podcast? Well, it seems like it'll be a great way to really express ourselves in an honest fashion, let you get to know who we really are (which may explain a lot, once you get to know us). And, of course, it adds another layer to that whole accountability thing.

So, stay tuned. The journey has begun for us. We will be posting our first podcast here in the coming days. Please take a listen. Follow us on our Twitter accounts (to the right. Check our our info pages above. And tell us what you think, share your stories, ask questions.

We all have the same objective: to become healthier versions of ourselves. The best tool you can have is information. We'll be sharing what we learn. Feel free to do the same.

Enough babbling. Time to get to it! Thanks for listening.
